LEF

Welcome to L'Ecole des Petits and L'Ecole de Battersea! L'Ecole Families (LEF) was set up in 2006 with the aim of creating a united school community. LEF is:

a voluntary, non-for-profit group founded by the schools' parents;

a welcome group for new parents;

a support group for all non-academic issues.

LEF is here to answer your questions and to provide you with all the practical information regarding life at the schools. Don't hesitate to contact us should you need any help getting settled at the schools.

LEF's Activities

The Welcome

The aim of the Welcome is that new parents feel included in the school community as soon as they arrive. In order to achieve this, LEF organises: a Back to School Picnic, the Back to School Welcome, the Welcome for new arrivals throughout the school year, Informative Meetings, Class Dinners, Welcome Coffees, etc.

School Life

LEF helps with the practical life at the school by organising: the Class Lists, the A to Z Booklet, la Navette, the Second Hand Uniform Shop, LEF General Meetings with all parents interested, LEF's Core Group Meetings with the School.

Charities & Fundraising Activities

LEF organises one charitable fundraiser per term on average. It usually supports a UK based charity chosen by the parents. Past fundraisers have included the WWF, Over the Wall, The Royal Marsden Hospital, Tree for All and KIDS Company amongst others.

Social Outings

To help creating a school community LEF organises a number of outings per school year. In the past these have included, amongst others, visits to the Chelsea Physic Garden, First Aid Courses and "The Walk for Wildlife", an annual end of year walk in Richmond Park.
